Annual Holiday Food Drive

Coming up to the Gerry? Remember to bring an item or two for the Food Drive! When you make your Holiday gift list, don't forget those who may not be as fortunate. The Gerry is holding its Annual Food Drive to benefit the Marblehead Food Bank. Boxes are available in the Club and the Function Hall to drop off your donations.

All items donated are greatly appreciated. Here is a partial list of items in high demand: peanut butter, cereal, health and beauty items, formula, and tuna. Any non-perishable, unexpired item is welcome.

A special thanks to Julie Cashman for organizing this effort.

Join us on Sunday, December 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for the Gerry’s Annual Kids’ Christmas Party. This is one of the most looked-forward to events of the year.

Parents should bring a small gift with their child’s name and age written on it to be placed under the Christmas tree. (Parents may want to put the gift under the tree the night before the party so that their kid(s) won’t see them.) The Gerry will also have a gift and a treat bag for the kids.

Santa will make his annual appearance around 2:30. Make sure to arrive early so your children will be there to see him arrive by his big red sleigh.

Everyone will enjoy a lunch of hot dogs and grilled cheese and the kids will be treated to popcorn and snow cones.

And best of all – it’s free. The Gerry’s Christmas present to our members and their families.

Saturday, December 22nd, Yankee Swap/Ugly Sweater Contest, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Just when you through things couldn't get much sillier, the Yankee Swap and Ugly Sweater Contest returns on Saturday, December 22nd at 3:00 p.m.

Find your ugliest Holiday Sweater and wear it. Win a prize if yours is voted the ugliest!

The Yankee Swap is a blast! Bring a wrapped present (funny or serious) valued at a minimum of $10.00. Everyone will draw a number and select a gift (not the one you brought!) in order by number. The very first gift does NOT get unwrapped, it becomes the "mystery gift". The person who is #1 holds their "steal" rights until the very end. The next person then selects a gift and opens it. They may either keep their gift or swap it for any gift already chosen (the higher number you have, the more choices). This continues until all gifts are selected. Then the person holding the mystery gift does the reveal! It could be good or bad! The person who was #1 then gets to steal any of the gifts.

So, would you rather be #1 or #10? Come join us for some Holiday fun! No purchase required except your gift and re-gifting is fine with us.
